Default injured !

i was cutting the 2nd plate out and some of the molten plastic flew and hit my forehead. it was so hot it fused to my scalp and by the time i smeared it off (into my hair) it left a nice blister.

i managed to get alot done in th last 2 days.still more to do but i thought i would show the progression to date. im gonna have to make the gapes on the bottom skids a bit wider to fit the links in and some other minor stuff. i also have some ideas floating in my head but i will keep them to myself for now.

onto the pics......

it looks nice. I would dye it black, to match the axle housings and most of the other plastic parts on the truck. when you get a scroll saw I'd take the frame rails off, put a screw or something in the holes to keep the rails in the same position (one on top of the other) then if the scroll saw can cut a piece that thick, even up the frame rails. on the subject of tools, the scroll saw can be fun, but the hammer is much more therapeutic

I feel your pain on the hot plastic deal. Good looking rig, looks like it's setup pretty well. When and if you make another, you can bolt the two plates together so they are symetrical, then if they turn out like a duck or bigwheel they'll be IDENTICAL copies. Keep rolling, and lets see it dyed! I say red!
