V2 was the one with the screws that rest on top of the sway bars. There are some pictures on one of the previous pages. While it's great to adjust the ground clearance (just a few turns with a screwdriver is all you need) there is no way to adjust the droop, which is a problem. I am still thinking about it, and have a few ideas I'd like to test out. I'll keep you posted when I come up with the answer.

What are you not sure about? What the screw does? It goes through a threaded hole and rests on top of the bar. This sets the ride height. A few turns of the screw can raise it anywhere from 2" to 4" I still an working on the droop issue. I did go crawling with it on friday (vid will be up soon) and the droop seemed to help. However, I was crawling on pretty level "rock garden" type stuff. There weren't any huge walls that I tried going up.

that is a cool design rockman. I think it would be awesome to adjust the ride height that easily. I used to think that torsions were not so great, but now i have realized they will outcrawl many other types of crawlers!

real neat idea! keep it up. If i were you I'd try to loosen up the springs a bit to give more articulation, but it looks like it crawls well already! Great job!

| http://www.nercc.net/member/media/Sled_V2.wmv I kind of threw it together, so it may be the best thing you've ever seen. And if your wondering, we had our comp on those rocks, so I was trying to travel the aproximate line. Overall, I am very pleased with how it performs. In a few clips, you can see the rear axle drop. In some instances, I think this helped, and others, I dont think it did help to much. if you notice long pauses before it reverses, it's because I have to reprogram the Mamba, I was having a few problems with it. |

Nice looking rig. Flex looks right for a torsion rig, good break over and center chassis clearance. Float is sweet, one of the things I love about driving a torsion chassis! Looks to climb extremly well and you have to love the drag brake w/ the Mamba/Revolver combo! Looks like a winning combo. |

Thanks. The drag brake (imo) is the selling point of the mamba/revolver combo. The body is just mounted via long screws that go through the body and into the chassis brace. In the near future, front dig, a cutting board skidplate, and bearings will all be added. Now if I could just figure out those dang body posts... |

I'm not sure where the best place for them is. I dont want them hanging out the sides, they'd have a better chance of getting snagged. But there is no place to mount them vertically, unless I go through the skid, which means more holes on the skid, which means more chance to get hung up. If this was just a "club crawler" (ie. not comp level) I wouldn't mind. I'll talk to my cutter, and see if he can make an attachment or something.
