It does have a lock. I'm hoping that with some tinkering, I can get 4wd, front dig, and free wheel in the rear (ie rear disengage, but not lock). We'll see though.

Right here. As it turns out, a single ziptie makes a horrible servo mount.

wouldnt a proportional 3rd channel allow you to do that

In theory, yes, but the servo may not have enough travel to do that. What I was thinking is push the button up, driveshaft moves forward and disengages, middle position keeps the driveshaft in the middle, connecting both halves, and move the button down, driveshaft moves down disconnecting and locking.

I had another idea in order to stop the droop issue. Use a locking collar that is boted to the chassi. The collar goes around the sway bar, thus stopping any up and down travel. I also devised a new way to lock the sways at the axle. Before, I had a 90* bend that went into the lower link mount. While this was great because you didn't need any tools to take them out, putting them back in was a pain. The new way is another locking collar that is bolted to the lower link mount. I will need to drill and tap a hole on the other side to make it secure. As an added bonus, with this new setup, pinion angle is adjustable. Here are the pictures of what I mean.

i ran this by mrwonderful, but what do you guys think of instead of a fancy screw you do a screw on the top, and one on the bottom.

Ok so is this going into production or what? I seen another thread of someone building one and testing it out but are you gonna go big or what?

I have thought about production, but it depends on how V3 works out. If it works great, maybe. But becuase I dont have a vendor star, I'll stop talking about it.

Dig is almost done. It will still need a lot of tweaking to get it 100%.

This engagement would lock the rear wheels, right? I see where that would improve the turning radius of a front-steer only rig, but how would it help you climb if the rear wheels can't turn?
I'm confused here.

The dig is "on-demand" meaning that whenever I want the rear wheels will either be powered, or locked. They are not permanatly locked.

It helps you climb kinda like clod stall, the front pulls you up and keeps the rear from flipping you over, and when coming down off a obstical it drags the rear to keep from going azzzz over end.

In case anybody is still reading this, I did some work today. The dig was buttoned up, and is almost complete. Once the truck is back together, I will make some adjustments to make it as smooth as possible.
