Default Project 'bucking bronco' buildup

I just got a new TLT so I slapped it together, and I am currently waiting on my k2-3l chassis to arrive, so this buildup thread is going to be a work in progress.

In the end I plan to have a k2-3l chassis with 2 hitec 645mg servo's, not 100% sure which ESC yet, TQ3 radio, bronco body (DUHH!), pede or stealth tranny and maybe some really cool scale junk.

I don't have much experience with painting, so I am going to practice a multi-color paint job on the stock tlt body, and I am going to try for some flames. I have the design drawn out, but I don't have any pics available right now.

Also, this is my first build technically, I built a clod before but I never really got it to work too well. I'm hoping to have more luck with this truck, but I can't guarantee it.

I will be posting a bunch of videos if I get it to work the way I want.

Pictures:

Kinda cool to see how much the stock chassis allows the axles to move (when I run up on the orange box), but it shows my complications when I went up to the door, it doesn't do anything lol.

Finally got it running relativley well, I still got some tweaks to do but I dont wanna take the time. I was having problems with the links not being long enough causing the dog bones to bite the couplers (no pun intended) and not wanna turn, but I fixed that. Now all thats wrong it the center diff is a little too loose to crawl, the tranny sucks, but thats cas its belt driven, and I gotta tweak my rear axle a little bit so it tracks straight.

I have a vid Ill be posting too...

Woot, bought a pede transmission from the hobbyshop today for like $65, I would have gotten for $50 online, but I timed it wrong, my chassis comes tomorrow and I want to get this built asap.

Just got my k2-3l chassis. Not real happy about the cross-braces, the screw holes dont line up with the chassis, but whatever, I also was 3 screws short. Other than that and the scratch on the side its orking so far. (I dont care bout the scratch, I knew it was going to be on there, he told me)

I took the shocks off of my drifter car to put on my TLT, and I actually broke 1 of them, long story on that so I wont tell it, so I just put a link in that spot for now. I just got the motor on and the spur gear in there but the 2 of them together are too big for the way I have it set-up so Ill have to find out what pitch those are and get a tooth or 2 smaller on the spur. If the gearing was right I would have made a video and posted it as just a 1st test run but I cant :(

Anyways, I still have lots of work to do but it is mostly together now, I posted a flex shot too, that is the max flex I can get out of it with the way its setup. As you can see in the flex pic, the back wheel is in the air about 1/4" hehe.

Will update as soon as I have finished a little more!

Few delays here, I bought the wrong type of paint, and put it in my airbrush and well, let just say it kinda f-ed up my TLT body. That was the same paint I was going to use for my Rubicon, and now I cant use it because yea. So the Rubicon is gonna be a little different, I only have 3 colors to work with too! lol

So I had a bunch of problems with my air brush and the body didnt trn out ery well, I had overspray and crap I couldnt get off, but I loaded it up with stickers to take the focus off the imperfections inthe paint. Heres the pics of the painted body:
