Default my scale hulk-built rubicon comp crawler UPDATED 4-13

hope nobody finds offense that i copied this word for word from my clodtalk post...

Hulk is the man. simple as that. i know for a fact when i get my pti rig i'll be sending it to him.

anyway, CHECK IT OUT. keep in mind, scale comp not full-on rc comp. so please dont come in here and say something obvious like it will have a higher cog than say a rcrockgear tlt chassis...

mig'd steel chassis, rubicon hood, custom side lexan panels, tlt axles, pede tranny, blah blah blah. its getting shipped to me next week, and i'll post updates after i actually get it and start throwing money at it.

i think i'll name it the rockcock. errr, named after a rooster of course...

Cant say enough good things about Hulk. (check out his petunia rig...) if you want something sweet he can hook you up, but ya better hurry, he's got a little one on the way which is sure to take time away from the things that are really important, like making kick butt tuber rigs. ;)

stay tuned, more to come...

Looks really good. Screw it if it isn't full on comp rig, not all trucks need to be. The more comp. oriented a truck, the less fun. They get way too easy to drive. That looks absolutely incredible. I'd have sprayed the tubing yellow and the little diamond sheet a chrome... but that's me

Update this with some outside shots when you get them.

lol, i dont even have the rig yet, hulk is sending it to me this week.

thats just a coat of primer he shot on it to keep it from rusting. i plan on either white or silver powdercoat for the chassis, with red panels that have white graphics trimmed in black. (might do yellow too...)

i'm going to try REAL hard to bring this down to green river. looks like i might only have this rig and my red 1:6 toilet tuber to bring down tho, my boyer clod is giving me fits...

another peek:

http://pics.montypics.com/badhoopty/...3_p2120230.jpg

as o f right now i'm just kinda waiting for the parts to come in.

goin to run a kyosho ho 480 can hooked to a planetary gearbox. that stuff is on its way to rcalloys as we speak.

its pretty cool, the neatest little rc i've built in awhile. and by far the most scale...

ok... one more peek...

http://pics.montypics.com/badhoopty/...0_p2120273.jpg

total poser shot, with shocks it wont sit the same. but it gives ya an idea... i think i might use tlt shocks since the size is a little more scale. ;) theres the hood and grill, but theres also side panels that i havent put on yet.

Sweet. Your rims look very narrow, how wide are they?

The tires look like they are Proline Masher 2000 (2.2's), on narrowed traxxas stampede wheels
