Ultimate pajero IFS suspension

Heres a couple pics of my exstended Pajero a-arms,there are an 1" wider than stock, the thing looks wicked from the front it looks like a stadium racing truck but not quit so wide. They're made out of flat 1/2"wide steel,i was thinking about making new tube a-arms but thought of this idea they are kind ruff but i'll smooth them out and put a nice bright paint job on um.

The cool thing is the back used to be really tall and the front was low so to make it look right i had to level the body which sucked, now the front and rear are level. I also plan on putting some mashers and a new body.oh ta get new shocks!!

I still have to hook up thr steering and make new much longer dogbones.i'll be sure to update you on how it works.

tell me what you think.

looks pretty good, once you get it running, check back for sure!

did you use spacers or something on the back to push the tires out also?

Grizzly4x4 02-10-2005 08:04 PM

Nicely done BigRed. The Jero looks tough. 8)

Rikpal 02-11-2005 03:58 AM

Looks good :)
Yeah explain us how did you stretched the rear.

bigred 02-11-2005 10:36 AM

I streched the wheelbase out 1",im using stock TXT shocks-but i thinking about coils springs and TLT shocks.

Grizzly thanks for the complement.

The front is a little bit wider i might be able to find some rims with less back spacing to help out but it looks good.

i know the wheels for the traxxas stampede and rustler are different front and rear. the a-arms on the front of those trucks are farther out. you may be able to pick up a set of those, masher 2k's definately fit on them.

good luck.

Cool man. I've got a Pajero on the way and was contemplating extended a-arms.

I've got a Tacoma body (doesn't have the Toyota emblem but is dead on) from RadioShack and I believe the part number to order is 11972700 its from an old truck called the enforcer.

Could you do me a favor.......possibly mount up the stock wheels and tires and tell me the total width of the front and rear stock....or if you cant just the current width of your setup now? If ya do it, I'll give you measurements of this Toyota body! :) Even if its not wide enough, you could build some fender flares like the baja trucks have.

Oh also how about your current wheelbase, and stock wheelbase of a Pajero?

PS you need a better camera! :)

Here's a pic....please dismiss the crappy paint job :)

See the resemblence :) (my buddy's Taco I was *this* close to buying) I'm going to add the Toyota emblem to the grille.

**Update**
I have got the new steering links made and on,i did a little 2wd test just now.....it was a crack up this thing kinda like a baja truck,i jumped it off 6 stares and it landed sooo soft.

AdamF.......I will have those measurements in a few.

I don't like lexan bodies. And you start getting away from the scale-ness of the pajero when you have a body that the wheels dont fit under the fenders. Kind of takes away the point of a Pajero you know?

bigred 02-12-2005 10:52 AM

its cool i dont mind having to flat fender,in my mind its still scale its just even cooler, besides i got to get this thing to hang with TLT's.

what the hell.....why is my post count going down i was just at 613.

we are deleting your useless posts. :flipoff: J/K

Wit those arms made from 1/2" steel isn't it going to weigh a scale ton?
