rizzo soldered up the battery packs for me, theyre attached with double stick tape and zip ties just like all my other battery packs on other rigs. im running 8 2500mah AAs on this one just like the J2... its running the mambe 25 and a hyperion 3013 motor... plenty of power, but i still prefer the quark/revolver setup in my other rig... i got an XXtra reciever like i said and didnt realize that i had it set to the wrong channel for my mx3s radio... i showed it to Dr. Rizzo and he damn near slapped me for being retarded. lol! oh well i figured it out.

so like 3 days after i get my R2 tranny they announce a short shaft for it, great... i made due wth the long shaft but drilling the outputs was suprisingly difficult, i burned up a titanium bit going through them. i think ill be ordering a short shaft for it sometime soon. the long shaft combined with maxx shafts is damn near too long to fit in a 12.5" wb like this. a short shaft would also help my driveshaft angles. i also plan on making a wedge for it sometime soon.

i didnt get to crawl it outside of the house today. the battery died right when i got to the WEROCK crawl site... so i crawled the J2 and the scaler instead. but just playing around on the stairs here at the casa its a lot of fun, very capable... it went up the concrete stairs out front easier than the SW2 ever did and a little easier than the J2 does. but i still didnt get any action shots of it.

the COG is probably lower than my J2, even though the tranny really isnt any lower than the one in the J2... but because theres nothing above the tranny at all. no shocks, no chassis plates and the batteries are set up lowe on this one.

and yes EeePee i do love those marshmellows! LOL

Looks great, but why not just Dremel off the long shaft and re-drill it? Slow drill speed and lube is the key to gettin through easier and faster.

You might want to try some 2/3A cells with these brushless deals. I notice an improvement in performance over my AA batteries.
