Here is a couple of more pics. One showing the vehicle on it's side and its inherent balance and another showing the rear link geometry. The amount of anti-squat can be lowered by adding spacers in steps to raise the rear upper links at the axles.

hello, i am very interested in your chassis, i think it looks great, i have an sw2 and recently bent my rear links for more clearance, but it really through my rear geometry out of whack. Maybe i bent them too much.
Do you have the same problem on the xrc?

Hello,

We don't have this problem with the XRC as it was designed for these links and the links for it. We have sold thousands of link sets and never ran into a geometry problem. The bottom line is that if your rod end holes still measure the exact same center to center then your truck doesn't know if the link is bent or straight. If you roll the axle, get the links uneven, raise or lower your pivot points you will change the geometry. Hope this helps.

dang david here i did went and bought your chassis and had it all set up and then after I saw this I went back and set it up the same way you did

THANK you for the great info.

another question though, that may help myself and others with the XRC. What sort of battery configuration do you suggest? With Sub C size batteries, AA etc.

When I ran the XRC prototype, I found that the 2/3 A cells were the easiest to mount low for CG purposes and still provided plenty of run time!

I used to get 35-45 minutes from a 7 cell 2/3 A pack.

Just as Dez said, we recommend 2/3 A cells also. From there it probably comes down to how you want to tune your chassis. We have ran both the stick pack directly over the front axle and split packs in an effort to get an even lower C.O.G. and better balance. A lot of people prefer some front weight bias and we're part of that crowed. A couple of custom 2/3 A packs (one with 4 cells and one with 3) will allow you to play around with the configuration, balance, and weight bias.

unfortunately I only have sub-c size cells but i wish i had considered this when I first bought my batteries or else I would have gone with the AA for sure. This is how I had a pack made up at a local battery shop (They refused to make it how I wanted them to so I had to compromise... unfortunately). Before I had this made up, I had a normal 6 cell stick pack. And I could stand the truck on its side and it wouldnt tip over. Now, its tippy as HE-double hocky sticks. This is how I had the pack made up...

Thats why I ask if ya'll have any suggestions as to how I should make a pack that would actually work

Here's a look at our XRC-CF with the 4 in 1 setup to postion a 2/3 A stick pack over the front axle. This rig will balance out like crazy. One more pic to show how low she rides while crawling.
