>>Can You Dig It<< Here's the latest from DTP. My Reverse Cowgirl, Socket to ya, BMVii. Other specs; HH Revolver CC Mamba 25 Spectrum micro receiver Hitech 945 & 645 Novac V. regulator Fat-rock axle C's JP's AL knuckles Metal yolks, 3 sets ae GT2 stealt trans, 4:1 GD-600 As you can see from the pics, I decided to mount the motor on the rear axle, ala DUIdirk. I used a GT2 trans because it now has a 4:1 reduction. I cut off the spur shaft right before the case to mount one of the yolks. I also decided that just locking the diff wasn't good enough for me. I wanted a spool. What I did was buy a NTC3 spool & Pede diff outputs. Then I cut it all up, like this. http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...20It/BMVii.jpg Next I sleeved inside the spool with 1/4" brake line. With the gear end of the pede output cut off, the output now slides right in the inside of the brake line. Just make sure everything is spaced out correctly & weld it up. I also wanted a dig set-up on this so I went wiith sicj's socket to ya style. Since we(HRCC) are no longer allowing 4ws, I needed a way to lock out the rear. Shut d's came up with this sweet design, nice & clean. As you can see, it's well balanced & the weight is all below the top of the tires. I took it out sunday & it did better than anything I've ever seen. I love it. Enjoy the pics. http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...t/BMVii001.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...t/BMVii002.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...t/BMVii003.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...t/BMVii004.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...t/BMVii005.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...t/BMVii006.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...t/BMVii007.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...t/BMVii008.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...t/BMVii009.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...t/BMVii010.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...t/BMVii011.jpg No secrets, just pics"thumbsup" |
That's pretty slick, I guess you can get away with out the reduction of the spur with the gd600 and the 4 to 1 gearing in the tranny internals. I guess its now considered a t-case and the gd600 is the tranny......Aw who cares."thumbsup" |
Nice work man"thumbsup" Bet you can't fit 1 more thing on that chassis:lol: |
When I tested it, that was my primary concern, is there enogh reduction? As it turns out, it works just about perfect. I think it has to do with the power of the revolver. Also most of the settings on the mamba are turned way down, except starting power. Yup, I guess you can call it a stealth transfer case now. |
Well I'm asuming thats the 4 to 1 gd600, A 12 pinion and a 96 spur net 8 to 1 with a 2 something tranny gear, so It should be close to the same. |
Well that will never work!:-P Pretty slick!"thumbsup" |
You've thrown keep it simple, stupid out the window entirely. The comet dust must be making you goofy! :flipoff: Look a UFO!!! |
Reverse Cow Girl Style. Thats what I had planned for that chassis. |
Yup, that moon dust must of done a number on me. K.I.S.S., phewy!! |
wow... i want to see it in action!!! |
nice lockouts!! |
cherry........psssst..........no secrets "thumbsup" . |
If you can get a 10 or 11 tooth to work with the GD600 it will work better the GD600 is 3.8-1 with the 12t pinion. I'm running a setup simular to this with the 4-1 GRU from RC4WD and a nitro pede trany. Thank you DUIdirk for the "Reverse Cowgirl"!"thumbsup" |
