Project Panzer Due to low scores I wanted to try something different. Here is Project Panzer. Currently working on behind the wheel steering set up. If all works out well, I plan on purchasing a real BMV... Got to support the guys who designed it. I just didn't have the funds to buy one right now. http://www.royallovesound.com/pics/Panzer/IMG_0006.jpg http://www.royallovesound.com/pics/Panzer/IMG_0008.jpg http://www.royallovesound.com/pics/Panzer/IMG_0003.jpg Got a little bit more done lastnight Here is a shot of the behind the axle steering set up. http://www.royallovesound.com/pics/Panzer/IMG_0011.jpg Here are wheels had these MSD rock rings forever finally get to use them. http://www.royallovesound.com/pics/Panzer/IMG_0013.jpg I decided to go with Panzer Grey paint hence the name project Panzer. http://www.royallovesound.com/pics/Panzer/IMG_0015.jpg Should be up and running by this weekend for a test run |
i like it....what are the axel plates made out of? i like the color |
How are those narrow red rocks working out for you? Edit: Was your XRC preforming badly and was the reason why you went torsion? |

Details on the paint? Is it just rattle ran? I like the BTW set up. |
Looks really cool but, how is this helping your low sperm count? |
GT40- I don't know yet, havent tried them out. Edit: The XRC is fine just wanted to try something else. Besides I drove one of these at our last gtg and was amazed at it capability. Dezfan- Yes good old cutting board material. Paint is model master Panzer Grey # FS36076. I spray both the inside and out so when it scratches I still have color. Thanks for the comments. |
Nice work! Those are some really narrow RRs! |

Looking good. I need to start up another TLT build soon. Just Maybe a BMVII...:) But I can't do that b/c Dezfan already did...Damn I hate you Dez. |
What kind of material did you use for the rails? Looks like some sort of 1/8th inch aluminum. |

http://www.spiegel.de/img/0,1020,276319,00.jpg This could be an inspiration for you. This is from 1947, after WW2, in the british zone here in germany, some generals used this car for transportation. Build from rare parts that were left in the bombed out factorys in wolfsburg. It has the rear axle from an "Kübelwagen". I like the look of this beetle very much !!"thumbsup" Pete |
