Default Custom Chassis TLT Build

When I first discovered RC crawlers a few months back I did a search and found this site. This place is amazing and has THE MOST knowledgable RC Crawlers on the net, so this is just a quick thank you to RCC!

Anyway, this was my first build and I think it went well. After several weeks of thinking and designing... Several weeks of testing... Then re-designing.... I ended up with this. A scale-ish 1/8th TLT-based crawler with around 50-60 deg of articulation. I took it for it's first real crawl a few days ago and it worked very well for having a long WB and being my first build. I took quite a few pics on the rocks and a few artic. pics in the living room. Let me know what you think, and any pointers are welcome as well.

-----Specs-----
Chassis: Custom (Longhorn V1.5)
WB: 13.5"
Body: 1/8 scale Proline 2004 F-150
ESC: Novak XRS ESC
Motor: Integy 55 turn Lathe
Wheel/Tire: Narrowed 1.5" RPM Torkers with 2.2 Dirt Hawgs
Transmission: Stealth w/revo shafts
Radio: Spektrum DX3
Shocks: TMAXX with cut stock springs
Steering: TowerPro 945MG Servos (4ws)
Other: MSD Servo/Link Mounts

The Revo shafts and cut springs are temporary, I have JATO shafts and soft springs on the way.

It doesn't seem to be too much at all, hardly enough to notice on the rocks. My next revision will be v2.0 and hopefully I can have the little things like that sorted out well enough. Like I said any tips on improving things are very welcome.

And to answer the other question... No, the pack hardly moves around at all. I have the upper section mounted so it flexes with the suspension. The only time it comes loose is if I flip or roll, and even then it is only when it takes a hard landing.

That is what I am going for... It is made of 3/16 aluminum plate. All hand cut and finished parts. I was considering putting it in the Scale section, but I didn't think it was worthy YET.

Thanks again guys.... V2.0 will look better cosmetically and have more provision for suspension adjustments. I already have ideas on how to improve things. Sadly my DX3 transmitter was stolen out of my wife's car last night so things are going to take a little longer than I thought. But I plan to have V2.0 by March.

I'll let you know if I happen to make a few extra of the V2.0's..... I promise V 2.0 will have a better look to the main sideplate instead of being solid. I am thinking of getting some shorter shocks and making everthing more scale as well. Thanks for the props!

I took it out toady and got a little video.... Not too much because my front steering servo died about the time I decided to film. It is a TowerPro 995MG, I have one in the rear too and have never had trouble with these until now, but I only paid $5 a piece for them 2 years ago :?
Anyway, I'll post some vid once the clips are edited together, I also plan to work on V2.0 tonight which will be based on a 1/10 scale HPI Jeep Rubicon body meaning a shorter WB, and hopfully a more capable rig. I am also waiting on a second pair of shorter shocks to come in as I hope V2.0 will be much closer a rig worthy of the Scale section. Here are a few pics from this afternoon:
