pede and rustler trannys are the sam size old and new theres no difference except the new ones have a new slipper clutch design. thats it.

you use xx outdrives for both transmissions. a friend of mine has had them superglued to his diff gear for a year with no problems. just get a very abrasive sandpaper, make 2 disks that fit in the diff gear, scratch up the diff rings and then glue the grit side of the sandpaper to the diff rings, and the back to the diff gear. before this you should clean the grease off of your diff gear and other components.

help please

thank you dezfan for making a great write up, but

tryig to build my new super and getting confused on trannies
What tranny is a strong tranny for a Super ?

I bought a rc4wd 2speed tranny but I'm reading that they are weak ...
should I return it? using a BM16 brushless 8.4 volt

Don't Us Crawlers need a Sliper ? so things don't break
What about the Twin force tranny ?

Anybody modify a Emaxx tranny to be lower cog

PS How do you trim down the shaft on a GD600 ? , not big enough to put in a lathe machie, do you press the shaft off the gear?

Thanks guys

Not sure as this guide was aimed at the 2.2 TLT crowd.

Maybe a post in the Maxx section might get you some help.

Good luck!

Is there a difference between associated B2 and B3 trannies? The B2 is kinda skipped in the first post. It says...
"The Gen 2 & 3 Stealth B3/T3 tranny were similar in design to the Gen 1 Stealth"
I assume the "Gen 2" is the B2, but the post doesn't specifically say. Any difference at all between the B2 and B3 stuff? Does this mean that AE didn't change the tranny at all between the 2 and 3 series vehicles?

EDIT: I'm told they are the same... which is what I figured.

What universals/axles are most commonly used with the Associated Stealth trannies? Would I have any problems using a Gen 1 rc10t stealth for a crawler?

I used on for a long time. Make sure your outdrives are in good shape. When they get worn the diff gear will get eaten by the heavy torque loads.

All except the first generation 6 gear RC10 tranny can be used.

That is the OG 6 gear tranny. It will not work.:-(

You'll need a Gen 1 Stealth or newer if you choose to use an Associated tranny.

Sorry.
