Default How slow should it go?

I have finished it, and it works great. I am unsure of how slow it ought to go with my set up.
TLT
Stampede tranny
Integrety 55 turn motor
Novak ESC
TQ3 TX,RX
2 cell Lipoly 1200 mah.
87 spur traxxas
12 pinion

nothing gets hot, only messed around on a little pile of rocks I have at this time.

Runs at about walking pace, or slower 1-2 maybe 3 mph. It is what it is and that is great, but I thought that I would have some top end if needed?

Let me know if all sounds right.

mike

p.s. working on my Bronco body, will attach pics in a bit.

Sounds good to me. On a brushed motor in a pede I run 12/87 gearing and 8 cells. Goes just over my walking speed, about 3mph

The top speed most people can power walk is 4mph, FYI. I like my rigs to go at least 4mph or more

IMHO,more is the better side I like big power and watching my tires melt away

It's personal preference really. If nothings getting hot and it works for your terrain......run it. If you want a little more wheelspeed, play with the gearing to find the sweet spot.

With a 65t lathe and 83 tooth spur/14 tooth pinion, my TLT will go about as fast as I can walk.
When I get the chance, I'm going to hunt up a bigger spur (90-100) and smaller pinion (9-10) and make even more torque.
It got the kids in my hood to leave me alone and quit asking me to drive my rig. I finally relented and let one kid drive it, he immediately mashed the throttle and it crawled off at it's normal snail's pace. He laughs and says "that's all as fast as that thing'll go? What a P.O.S.!!!" I tell him "Yep, your Rat Shack special sure beats mine!"
They have'nt bothered me since!

lol....a silver can is just a stock kit motor. it'll be faster than a lathe motor but good luck crawling with it....better gear it waaaay down.
