i drilled out the skid plate, and im putting the links and body posts on now. what are some good battery mounting spots ? i know the build up says to mount 2/3 sized cells on the front servo and i might just do that but i was wondering if there was a better way. maybe someone makes a servo/battery mount i don't know of ? and with the 2/3 cells. is there any better cell then the ib 1400's ? we used them in our minis and they rocked. i don't have much experience with the 2/3's. thanks for the help! |

for the guys with this chassis, what way do you prefer to have the tranny mounted with the spur gear facing towards the front or rear ?

I usually run my spur gear in the back, but for this truck I went with it in the front. Having it in the back you will be spinning everything the correct way, and also place the heavy motor in the front of the chassis. On mine I'm using the BL Revolver motor which weighs nothing, and doesn't care if it spins one direction or the other. I don't know if it does anything to the torque twist because I haven't tried the other direction in the same truck.

I wouldn't think it would do anything to the torque twist since the driveshafts have to turn the same way anyway.

Torque of the motor attached to the gearcase acting upon the resistance of the driveshaft.
