Default template for R2 tanny?

Hey guys, jsut wondering if anyone has or knows where i can get a template for the R2 tranny from my J2-TT chassis so i can mount it. I thought i saw someone on here with a template of it, but not sure.

Any help would be great!

Thanks

Are you trying to get dimensions?? If so go to RC4WD.com and they give the overall size (L-W-H...)

no, sorry.. should have been more clear. I need to know where to drill the holes onto the chassis.

Ya know, i just thought of a way myself to do it. But just out of curiosity, if there even one out there?

Thanks
Steve

take a peice of scrap lexan and trace out the bottom portion of the tranny and then mark were the holes will go. next drill out the holes in the tranny and then place it wherever you plan on mounting and drill that is how i mounted my r2 into my chassis and built a skid for it

I did the same with my Pede tranny...then started drilling the first hole with the tranny in place (using a smaller diameter bit to mark with). Removed the tranny, finished drilling that one hole with the proper size bit. Then I bolted the lexan template in place, drilling each successive hole and then inserting the proper sized screw, until it was all drilled. Lines everything up well this way.
