Default Old School Gold tub rc10 trans for crawler?

ive searched but nothing turned up on the old tranny (saw the t3/t4 though)..

im planing my build right now getting my electronics in order and see'ing what i can pull off of other cars to beef up the TLT... i know the Pede trans is a common upgrade but this old trans seems to be built tough.

Thanks

JOe

Depends on what generation of gold tub rc10 it is.
If it has the stealth transmission your good to go. If it is from before the stealth transmission forget it, here's why: pre stealth rc10 tranny's ?????

I think it'd work great. They have 32 pitch gears so it'd be strong. You could lock the diff buy drilling both the cups and putting a screw through the spur gear. I like the idea but you do know those transmissions are drawing quite a bit of money on ebay right? You might be able to sell it and do a more common swap if you want to that is.
