Default Da Blue'z Mobil! BM-VII

Well, I took on a build for a fellow member who wanted a BM-VII based crawler.

After he had gathered all the parts, he set them to me I started the build.

Here is a list of the parts to be used in this build.

BM-VII Chassis
TLT axles
Aluminum axle C's
Aluminum Knuckles
CPE wideners
Stealth tranny
Max shafts
TQ3 Tx/Rx
Mamba 25
Revolver 2
Tower Pro MG 955
1400 IB 1200 2/3 6 cell
Masher 2000s
HPI Spike wheels

I have everything just about finished, just waiting on a new set of B4 cases to arrive as the old case was damaged.

After they arrive, I'll assemble and install the tranny and drive shafts.

Basically that is all that is left to do on the build other than mounting the ESC and receiver.

I've weighted the wheels w/ Airsoft BBs, 6oz's per tire and wheel and adhered the tires to the wheels w/ my favorite Shoe Goo!

Painted the body a combination of Metallic Blue and Blue Streak.

But the FRIGGEN Metallic Blue paint started shooting out blobs and screwed my body job up!

Hence the name, "Da Blue'z Mobil"!:-(

I tried to save it will some Silver and it came out ok I guess.

Other that that, this should be a top notch build when it is finished.

I'll have some pics up some shortly to show it's progress.

Sounds nice...sometimes when the paint does stuff like that it actually looks pretty cool. When you Shoe Goo the tires on, how well/easily do they come off and clean up to re-Goo?

Here are the pics of the rolling chassis and body.

The Shoe Goo holds the tire on the wheels very well.

It is designed to bond plastic and rubber (tires and wheels are made of what?).

It also cleans up really well when it's time to replace the tires or wheels.

Body turned out OK, but IMO, it would have looked sweet it that Metallic Blue would have sprayed cleanly!

I'd be happy to answer any question.

Looks good I think the little blue splatters add to the paint job in this case. To clean up the Shoe Goo, you just kinda roll and peel it off or?

The front body post is a stock TLT body post attached to the servo mount post.

Rear is RPM I beleive.

Yes, he wanted me to keep it on the DL, so I'm sure when the time is right he will reveal himself.

I just hope he likes it!

Like I said, the paint REALLY pissed me off!

Update: I finally got the tranny cases in the mail today!

So hopefully tomorrow I'll have some more progress to show and I can get this back into the hands of the owner!

As far as I know, Tammies has one left. Beyond that, I don't know if any are still being made.

You should be able to fairly easily make one up yourself though.
