Default TLT Driveshaft Setup?

I am starting on my scale.. I am using TLT axles and a Pede tranny.. I want to set this up for huge ground clearance.. I am building the chassis since its a strange setup.. But I wanted to ask you guys your opinion on setting up the drive shafts..

I want the tranny to be mounted at an angle and very close to the front axle. While the drive shaft to the rear axle would be connected somehow so the driveshaft from the tranny would be running parallel to the ground, then connects halfway to some kind of u-joint that connects another drive shaft to the rear axle..

I just don't know what to use to connect the two driveshafts together? Also need something that would mount to a chassis well.

Thanks for the help..

If you had another tranny with only the out drives in it, you could use it as a carrier bearing. You don't need the other gears. Unless you can make a carrier bearing with outdrive shafts coming out each side. So you can attach your drive shafts. I'm new at this but an old mechanic at heart. Just a thought. Good luck.

I think you would just need a little piece of material to hold two bearings to support a shaft that would allow you to mount a driveshaft yoke at each end.

If you don't have the ability to machine a couple of pockets for some bearings maybe you could find some existing RC part that could hold the two bearings. For instance if you could somehow mount a front knuckle to serve as a carrier for a couple bearings......or something similar like JIA's dad mentioned.

Rbgerrish did something similar to what you're trying to do. Looks like he used a TLT knuckle for a carrier bearing like roktoy suggested.

Apparently if I get a train under mine it will promote train wrecks.

If I got a wiener under my name would that promote sex?
