Yeah they are long because we had several customer who wanted them long for different reasons. Now we have people wanting them the exact length so we'll probably go back to that. Anyway all you need to do is whack 'em down to the length that you need. A Dremel tool or hacksaw makes quick work of this.

Settle down there bud.....a cralwer in general is not about buying a "kit" and putting it together without any hick ups. There are many different configurations (3 link, 4 link, 50/50, 60,40), different shocks (can't even list them all), different transmissions (stealth, losi, stampede, R2 just to name a few). I too was frustrated at first. I must have sent Dave at XRC 10 PM's with questions and suggestions. Looking back, I laugh at myself. Building it helped me understand what was what and how things worked. The XRC is a great chassis and I don't have a doubt you will enjoy it greatly once everything is together.

Thanks,
Casey

This is a typical problem when cutting down screws or bolts. If you have a file you can clean this part of the screws up. Even a Dremel at low speed will remove this just don't melt any more of the end as you remove this problem part of the screw. If you would like I can also send you some exact length screws to replace those.

Mine always went on tight. And the Stampede tranny is just like that.
