Default Am I on the right track? Comments and Suggestions needed.

Sup guys... still a noob and am working on a TLT kit..

Camel_RC here has been helping me with this but i thought i would see what others thought... opinions are wanted here..

This is my project...

TLT Axles
Locked Pede trans
Pede front shafts
Maxx shafts rear
Steel Chassis
1.9" tires BFG's in pics for mockup, shrinking some dorks for this
WB is 11.5"
Steering servo on top for scale effect.
55t motor
Body is gonna be the Bushwacker

my main concern is that im not on the right track... it just looks odd to me. More of my questions is where i should locate my shocks and links.. and how low i should drop my trans... its gonna be mounted vertical to keep the shafts from binding.

so how does this look so far? im kinda regreting not just buying a chassis lol... oh well

JOe

for what it looks like, you need to cut the extra frame off the front. tat will save you some weight. then the tranny can be at an angle. i would mount the tranny a little lower than the chassie. for your shocks i would use t-maxx/e-maxx shocks. then 4 link the front and rear. hope this helpes

i would appreciate that... the front rails have been trimed down to fit the body... the chassis will be up higher with the trans hanging down a tad. So i think anyway... next time im buying a chassis kit

here is a side pic.

Go read EP's K2-3S New Chassis thread. It has a lot of info that will help you fully complete this build. A lot of great info in that thread. It's in this section.
