| My homemade bmvii knockoff
finally got around to building my chassis for my comp rig over last weekend. I just used some cutting board and music wire from the hardware store. chassis only cost me about $10 Now I am waiting for the tranny and axles to come so I can get it finished |

maybe a dumb question, but you say your just using music wire... are there any more specifics about the metal wire? what if it bends? do you just bend it back? its very intriguing but for some reason confusing me at the same time any chance of a pic on how you mounted your axles to the front plates? It is called music wire and you get it at a hardware store in 1/8 diameter. It is designed to be a spring wire so it really shouldn't bend unless you bend it really hard Last edited by wiebs6; 02-22-2007 at 10:32 PM. |

Looks good. I got my ripoff BMV made today. How come you robbed a Moab off the truck behind it when the masher was sitting right there? Last edited by ILoveRCRockCrawlin; 02-22-2007 at 10:37 PM. |

That looks pretty easy Im gonna try that tomorrow. Did you use a drill press for the holes for the wire or just a regular drill?

i've been looking at these things for a while now. i was wondering, how are the wires attached to the plates? also, how big are the spacers you are using between the plates and the axles? anyway, looks good. and yeah, i think i'm off to my local ace hardware tommorrow morning... |

ok, so i was wondering, where did you get the black cutting board material? was that from the hardware store, too? or did you just get a cheap cutting board from someplace like the dollar store?
