Default Axle/driveshaft question

Yesterday I bought the TLT-1. I've assembled the axles. Here's my question. Is there some sort of adapter to install other driveshafts other than that crappy stock metal one that comes with the kit? I'm brand new to this hobby so I really don't know too much yet.

Im using the Traxxas #1951 drive shafts. Get the metal yokes instead of the plastic ones.

yea you just leave off the stock drive cups and put the yokes right on the pinion of the axle
