Default Tranny or Chassis First?

I am saving up some money and not sure which I should get first?

I figured I could get by using an old tamiya tranny I have for a little bit, but not sure how well it will work?

I will try to get some pictures of the tranny up tonight. Just wish I could get a "Combo Deal" that includes both and discounts price some... lol

if not, lookin at the stock tranny, I think I could compact that and make it all gears too?

You can do almost anything if you have the time, tools and talent...but a new chassis really needs a new tranny other than the stock belt drive junk. What is the old Tamiya tranny that you have already? Probably more cost effective to just buy a tranny.

tamiya king cab... it is kind of junk and uses the same output as the stock... so I have to use an extended dog bone right now... but I don't mind that...

I think I will extend it stock for now and when I can afford a new tranny I will get the better drive shafts as well.. probably be a couple of months...

thinkin a pede from tammy's? probably the most cost effective.
