looks good, nice work. are you planing on useing a body? |
That looks freakin sweet i want to see pics of it when its done |
i going to be making body pannels for it out of scrap laxan or if i canget ahold of some grafite sheets ill be making it out of them |
How Long Will The Wheel Base Be? |
Here is my first try at building a tuber. I haven't come up with a way to mount shocks properly so Its kinda been sitting there. http://www.one18th.com/GetGallery4481.htm |
This is the second chassis that I made the first was more of a prototype. the best way that I have found to mount the shocks is to do it like they do on the big trucks and make a hoop with some brass plate in between and mount the shocks to that. im waiting till I get the suspention links mounted to mount the shocks and I cant dop that till my carbon fiber gets here. |
Wow! Im amazed.. Looks awesome. I am curently working on a TLT Tuber right now.. but this has to be one of the nicest VMG chassis I have ever seen. Good job! |
wow thats sick how big is it gonna be, since the VMG is so small, im curious about this |
its 11 " long from tip to tip and it will have a 9 inch wheel base ive mocked everything up and besides the wheels and tires it looks sick. very scale looking. i should be getting 4 sq. ft of blue carbon fiber in a week to make the body pannles . thats the part I cant wait for. if you go here and look at there "rock rods" its sort of modeled after there "Big sexy" rock crawler. http://www.spydercustoms.com/index2.php |
i want to know what the purpose of that link was.....i mean, it has nothing to do with RC, and has nothing to do with blue carbonfiber....... |
it goes to a full size rock crawler webstite that shows the real rock crawler I got some inspiration from |
ah yes spyder customs, they help alot of us out here, and in 1:1......... |
if you want the website for the blue carbon fiber it http://www.robotcombat.com/store.html not only do they have carbonfiber but they have a ton of other usefull stuff  |
well almost done just waitin for the jb weld on the driveshafts to cure and the bloody snow to melt http://img30.exs.cx/img30/3510/crawl16yj.jpg http://img123.exs.cx/img123/5834/crawl25eq.jpg http://i147.exs.cx/img147/882/crawl37tk.jpg what do you think so far  |
i think it is awsome, I love the chassis makes me really want to build a tube chassis for my TLT-10 |
I like it, but I am worried about your tranny hanging down there. Also, where does the battery go? I really need to assemble my venom. I only started working on it back in january... I really need to put it back to stock is what I need. |
Other than the gearbox hanging down that far it looks awesome man! But, you might not have any problems with the gearbox position... |
ya your tranny is hanging down to far. but it looks cool. are you going to paint it? |
now that i think of it it is hanging down alittle to much. ill probibly take care of it tonight. If your going to do it you might as well do it right. Im trying to decide between painting it white or a dark blue although im leaning towards white |
