Default Looks pretty close to me...

I was just messin around in the garage and decided to see if 40 series tires would work on a K2-NL chassis. When I put them beside the chassis, I think it looked great.

This is how I remember the original BigFoot looking. What do you all think?

I guess I would need 12mm wideners than 12 to 23mm adapters?

I think you're gonna need some spare gearsets. Put some TXT axles under it if you're going to run it that way.

I think some actual V tread tires would really help the look.

I think if you narrow them down it will look pretty tight.

I'm going to take it down to Hobby People tonight, since they have a whole row and three racks dedicated to rims and tires. I'll look to see what looks better, I'll let everyone know.

Thanks everyone.

I ended up with some Imex Pluto's 3.2" Rims and Swamp Dawg Tires Soft Compund. Just need to find me some 12mm to 14mm adapters now with the 3/4" offset.

You guys had me worried about the weight so I weighed the wheels right now at midnight. Freak, huh. So below are the weights per wheel and rim.

RC4WD Narrow Bead-lock 2.2" w/ Masher 2K (no foam, empty) = 8.6oz.
(on currently)

Imex Pluto Rims 3.2" w/ Imex Swap Dawg Tire (no foam, empty) = 10.4oz.:-P

Proline Commando Bead-lock w/ 40 series Big Joe Tire (stock foams, star pattern) = 17.1oz.

I'd be insane to run the 40 series on TLT axles. I think the axles should hold up fine with the 3.2's. I know some of you guys add 1-2oz. of BB's in your tires so the weight seems OK to me.

I just remebered that I do have some 12mm wideners and weighed those right now too. They weigh at .5oz.

Still not bad.

suprisingly they arent too much heavier, but the actual radious of the tire will make it harder on the axles too, not just the weight, the ratio has changed. You could even hook up portals, that would be awesome!
