Default 101 ways to use tlt chassis....

didn't like my first build too much...just trying to see what I can do with the stock chassis. I know I need to lower the upper link pivot points on the chassis because the axles are rolling too much..

is this like 101 dalmations, because no matter what dog you get it still poops.

Jk...it looks interesting, there have been some interesting things with the stock chassis. It is good to test a few possibilities.

You can do a decent setup with a stock chassis. It's certainly no full blown comp rig but it would surprise you. With absolutely no extra holes or cutting to the chassis plates. The 'frame rails' were just for body mounts.

not bad, look a little tall, but good for a stock chassis

Rc EnthuSiasTs you say it looks a little tall. what is a good ride hight for a stock tlt chassis? im currently stretching my tlt and dont know much about doing it, i got it at a 14" wb right now. i think that i need to shorten it a little tho.

Mriswith - I'm liking the extra frame rails - good idea, more room for weight distribution.
Are you running two different transmissions in that rig? Using the stock tranny as a transfer case? Interesting...

On my sw2 i run about 2.75 inches, i have found that a good center of gravity can make or break your crawler, when i first started my gc was at about 3.5 to 4 inches, it flipped all the time. I personally like it too be lower. But if you make a chassis to have droop suspension, you can have the best of both worlds

I agree about the cg, I would say between 2 1/2 to 3/4 is the way to go.....

how about this? not quite sure if I want to hack the chassis yet. I kinda
like the build that I posted above, but the cg is way better as a droopy..

hmm should I..?
