Well the Aubie is getting hybrided with a Gimbal skidplate. i figured I can have the best of both worlds. I felt kind of bad hacking off the bottom of the Aubie but it looks too friggin good with the new skid plate.

The frankensteining is complete I just need some shorter shocks. It really looks good and I really hope function follows form as well.

Now that I have the genealogy I can move on. It is shocking how the skidplate fit perfectly. Almost like someone took an Aubie and measured it to base another on. hmmmmmm it's just a mystery...... |

Nice one Rizzo. That's coming together well. I like the conventional "buggy" look of that chassis. Not all convoluted, curvy and weird like some I've seen. I'm really starting to get tuber fever, too. I've seen so many nice examples here lately, and it's about time I graduated from my stock TLT chassis. I possess the skills and most of the tools required to do it myself, it's just a matter of finding the time. It's not something I'd want to rush through. Seein's how I'm in the pool industry, it may have to wait until next winter... Last edited by Big Mike; 04-11-2007 at 12:53 PM. |

I also found out that this was Aubies first tuber made through the grapevine. So I am actually pretty stoked at that news. I will get some nice pics on the rocks this weekend. |
