| Help with Bulu
I need help on the link setup on my new bulu chassis. I cant get them right. When I put the links on they are at bad angles. When I move the axel up and down it it turns the axel instead of staying level?

I had similar issues with their maxx kit. But I was using their links. So ?. It sounds to me like your links are mounted too tight. They should still move freely. But pics would help us diagnois.

I found that I had to space the links out away from the chassis. I just used some extra ball ends.

It must be our products that cause all the problems.... Quote:
How are your links attached to the axles? This may have some of the problem(s) with the funky axle movement you are experiencing. Post up some pictures of how you have the links attached to the chassis and on the axles. Also, what links are you using? Homemade? Maxx? REVO? All the same length or are they different. Your original post didn't include much info for people to help you out... too much info is better than lack of info.

I think the chassis is very nice. I'm in the process of setting mine up Toyofast, do you have any pics of the links and shocks on where you have them mounted. Your help is appreciated!

Is that what you are setting up? :? Or is that just examples of what you have found on the internet? I'm a bit confused as that it not a Bulu2 chassis........

Sorry, that is how my TLT is currently setup. I think I need to change the way the links mount on the axel. Also, the links are the maxx links.

I wish my digi cam had batteries i got my bulu2 in today and mine went together smooth. Look in the Pinned thread about makeing tlt in to a crawler look how plays_with_toys mountes his links. do that and mount all 4 links to the same point on the chassie. In order to do this and get the correct drive line angle the top link has to be i think it was like 5 mm longer than the bottom links just play with it. Then use the alluminum spacers on the outside and bolt you links up. I hope this makes sense.? My problem is theres no were to put the damn battery. |

By mounting the links to the same point on the chassis it might cause issues with axle movement and or allow the chassis to show more chassis "twist". Quote:
Who needs batteries :-P I should have a new picture of my battery mounting posistion tomorrow or the next day....

WOW.... Stop before you go any farther....!!! You have the spacers in the WRONG spot. The tranny spacers go on the bottom to fill the gap between the chassis and tranny. Not at the top to smash the tranny into the chassis. See this older image of a Bulu1..... Next. You will not be able to reuse the stock TLT method of link placement. No trianglation at chassis.... you'll have to figure out a way to triangluate the upper links to the axle, not the chassis. Many people have posted up their methods to make link placement on the axle(s)... search if you have not seen a pic of it yet. Here are a couple images of my link setup.... not the best but it works.

OK take the angled mounts off the top and put the single one from the bottom to the top. move the bottom links too the lower hole on the axle mount. then use the stock triangulated link mounts on the chassie and they go to the angled single hole mount on top and then your shocks go on the top hole above were you mounted your lower links. god i wish i had pics lol. the trick is you gota us the longer link on the top and the shorter one on the bottom. hope that helps wow didnt catch that one about the spacing shows how much i pay attention.
