Default Breaking TLT Axle

Hi,

In a few crawling days I have just break 2 rear axle of my TLT based crawler...

This is a very common problem?? I thinking to buy RC4WD TLT axle (http://rc4wdstore.com/product_info.p...roducts_id=520), how much strong than TLT stock Axle are they???

The rig that I'm running is the AVIO-TLT (you can see it in my signature), I have Proline MOAB Tyre on RC4WD Narrow beadlock wheels without weight in. The rig weight is 2.87 Kg

CVD's would be best. More turning radius with a little shaving of the knuckle and case.

You can also get the Max Crawler axles for it (the "newer" version of the TLT). They are thicker right there than the original TLT axle.

Are there even any places that sell those anymore?

Garrett: It is a very common issue. I've gone through a dozen or so between all my rigs. It is just a function of that being a real weak link when we put some good power to the rig.

I agree, but if he is running them in the back then he wont need that turning radious for no rear steer. I plan to get some of those steel shafts, and cvd's for the front. Save some money, i dont think the rear needs cvd's.

Exactly, I don't have rear steering and I don't need CVD's for rear. I think that I'm going to buy rear axle from RC4WD and, if I broke front axle, CVD's...

Thanks to all!

at first i hated slipper on my pede, but after i started breaking some axle parts, i thought i would give it a try, it only slips in extreme lock up situations, and it works really good. I like it!

I have repaired it, just welded it with a thread iron welder

That'll work for the rear...until it breaks right next to the weld...cheap Tamiya metal. At least you're back up and running. May have to weld up my broken ones too.
