| The Shaft!!!
In the beginning we had axles. All though they were small and did what they were suppose to do, we had to modify them. TLT axles---LOCKED!!! THEN we needed something that wasn't fast but had a lot of torque to power or rigs. We found lathe motors by integy 65 T !!! Well how are we going to power both front and back axles? Everything out there is set up on the rear.. Then some one came up with the idea to mount it sideways. Evader (all I had on me)!!!! then we started crying about not being able to turn well enough. the 1/4 scale servos worked but we needed to find something smaller with good torque and doesn't put us in the poor house. Chicken Butt servo. How about a power plant for our rigs.... There are some good ones out there, but for us budget builders we need something inexpensive and still works. THE MOPED!! something to control it all that will fit in the palm of you hands.. Again budget builders choose the... The TQ3 Then we need something that can hold everything togeather. Some modified there stock chassis' and it worked..............................For a while.. Bender came up with the SW2. great chassis and started the ball rollin.... Am I using an SW2 ....... Not me OF course there is the Vertical Smile.. Is this what I'm using................ Not this time. Then you have the torsion chassis' designs...They work almost as good as the VS does.. Pimp slap Naw not me....... Stay tuned.. This should cover the specs so I don't get booted to the newb section FOR THE TLT SHAFT Last edited by Double J; 03-28-2007 at 07:48 PM. |

i am guessing it is going to be a tlt crawler similar to the crawler store's stick chassis. hence the name THE SHAFT.

Well the chassis has been reveiled. The middle cut outs will be used as the shock mounts (unless testing provs other wise) to hopefully keep your cost down. Last edited by Double J; 03-29-2007 at 09:55 PM. |

Are you going to run 2 shocks or 4? Seems like 2 opposing shocks would work pretty well. Edit Are those my axles? or did they not arrive yet? |

I'm setting mine up with 4 shocks. One of the testers may set theirs up with two. Your axles have not arrived yet. I've had these on hold waiting for this chassis since Oct/Nov. | |
