These link geometry lines that I'm drawing are not just where I choose to place them but where they naturally occur. With the wheels on I'm trying to visualize lines drawn through the link eyelets to the point where they converge. To be completely accurate I would need an exact side shot with the wheels off. With these lines I can first see how a rig performs then adjust it using these lines as a reference point.

I'm posting up the pic with no tires in which I confirmed the actual link lines. After that is the corrected A.S. lines on the rig with tires showing. As you can see the acurate photo does show the A.S. to be lower. What you would want to do chivas is put this rig through its paces and see how it performs. If the rear of the truck dives to much (not enough A.S.) or is too stiff (too much A.S.) then adjust your links accordingly to bring the A.S. line either up or down. The higher it is the more A.S. you have, and the lower it is the less A.S. you will have. Hope this helps.

well all i can say is that from the testing done and comparing it to my sw2 build this thing rides a lot better.

the problem is i don't have anything else to compare to. so i don;t really know what this thing should be capable.

so acording to these last 2 pics do you think that the as lines are too high, ok or too low ? ? ?

man i love this rig too bad it's not mine

I'd say that for a crawler you're you should be somewhere close to the sweet spot. Like I said you may want to run it, then make small chages to see where it performs best. Just keep track of your base lines so you can always go back if needed.

easiest solution to that steering set-up is to mount the servo saver pointing down.

but the best thing for steering is to loose the servo saver all together and just use a servo horn. a servo saver is going to take away from your steering when going slow, and the wheel is up against something...
