Gary, our two systems are pretty hard to compare it seems like. You have a 65t that I would usually think is too slow, but then you have a 12t and 11.1v I really hope that 7 cells on this 1000kv motor and a 9 or 10 tooth will do. |

I am sure it will get you in the ballpark I know when I ran my brushless set up on mine it was very finicky about the gearing if you were off either way it would run too hot |

Well the two 7 Cell packs came in today from Cheap Battery Packs. They look really good, except the spot welds look a little light, I am sure they will be fine. The MIP CVD's also came in today. I installed them along with full bearings in the axles, and of course the ones that come for the knuckles. I still need to shave the axle cases to get the most out of my steering. More on that tomorrow probably. Bearings make such a huge difference I can't say it enough. This truck is almost complete. I am just waiting for the lid to come in from Brandon, but there is no rush on that. This is a good body to beat the hell out of. The Gmade Wideners don't do me much good now, I figure I will just use the ones that will come with the MIPs. Thanks for listening Josh |

What battery packs did you get? Hopefully not IB packs. I just got an email from CBP.com on saturday saying- " We currently no longer offer IB products. Due to a high failure rate of new cells we had to stop selling them. We will continue to test new batches and if quality comes back we will offer them again. But to be honest the Elite product is so strong that we are not sure it is worth bringing them back." |

I noticed you were using an 18th scale Mamba ESC instead of a 1/10th one. Does it hold up well?

You can get them through Crawl*Mart in the vendors section. RBGerrish (sp?) is the vendor in charge of running the store I beilieve. They are great, super simple. |

I tried to build this rig to be as bullet proof as possible, just need a spool and hardened pinion now. I think I will keep the pede shafts but who knows, maybe I will get the new punisher shafts. I wish I knew how the rig did yesterday!!! Yeah thanks for the little practical joke an hour before my wedding Jeff and Neal!! That was exactly what I needed!! |

I think that right before your wedding is the perfect time for a practical joke, it keeps you from throwing up... It also distracts you from what you are about to do. Which lets the full realisation hit you later. I keep wishing I had gotten a second set of axles and hooked them up to a BMV, I just love it... But not enough to sacrifice my Thunderhorse. |

Little update: They body is done being painted. I am waiting to have it shipped back until my tuber is done being bainted too. The new clocked axle C prototypes are getting close, they are going to be crazy (more then anyone expects ). Once these come in I will correct the chassis angle with a reverse wedge to level everything back out (get it?). I also changed my plans, I am going to add the R2 with disconnect as soon as I can get my hands on one. After this weekend or next I will make my final choice on weather to use Mashers or Moabs. I will add some pics of the body a little later. |
