Default Rockstar Sw2 Build

Finally building a legit comp crawler. Starting out with an SW2 BENDER chassis with slight modifications to fit the RC4WD R2 tranny, mated with an INTEGY 55 Lathe motor. I will be using a MTRONIKS ECO27 for the esc.Other features will include RC4WD beadlocks mated up with 2.2 moabs,TOWER PRO MG 945 servo.Body choice is still up in the air right now . Now for the pics.....

FINALLY FINISHED!! I ended up making it into a 60/40 setup.I still have to work out a couple of issues with the torque flex but it's not too bad.All the tweaking and filing to get the r2 tranny in there and then.........BAMMM....the SW3 is available for purchasing.Oh well, here's the finished rig along with some flex shots.

Looks sweet.

I like the fact that you weren't afraid to cut into the chassis and make it work for your needs.

Yeah ,it would have been alot easier with a waterjet but it wasn't too hard.I just had to file the chassis level with the skid to let the tranny sit flush, and cut out the sides so to clear the motor.I knew the little bit of missing aluminum wasn't going to effect the integrity of the chassis.I did some testing yesterday and this thing climbs like a mother%@%r .I couldn't believe what it went up without going over. Now, I just need a good deal on an SW3 BTW,EXCELENT WORK ON YOUR CHASSIS

Here's a small vid.
It's my sons first time crawling. The fence should give a reference to how vertical it was.

Nice video clip, that's pretty vertical. Are you running weight in the wheels?

Very nice cut! I love how the shocks match the wheels. The only tip I can make, would be to make the rear shocks more vertical, meaning to stand them up more. It should make it perform even better all around.
