| Another TLT-Crawler (aka "The 2-Speeder")
Hi! I finally started my little project "TLT-crawler" last week and this is the result: The whole story started from here: Click 4 gallery! Wright, I started with the stock chassis. Due to some problems I decided to take a custom made chassis with the 2-speed tranny from the E-Maxx. I also used E-Maxx steering links wich caused a massive wheelbase of 16,3" (41,5cm)! (picture 90 in the gallery) The result of the positioning of the shock absorbers is a massive underneath clearance of 3,5" (9cm)! A 45° grade upwards (with carpet) is no problem. This is demonstrated in this little video: --> TLT-Crawler Climb-Test [53,9MB | MPEG2 | 02:02 min | 640x480] Very impressive! Weight is actual 2925g with a 6-cell stickpack. The awesome steel wideners are from http://www.truckmonster.de Pictures and videos outdoor will follow if I get managed my time... Manuel |

Hi! Today I cutted the foam inserts: Click pic 4 gallery! It´s very good! The tire fits perfectly onto the surface... And driving up a 55° grade is also possible: But it is almost falling over... Manuel PS: Weight´s now 2905g... Last edited by Uncle_Manuel; 05-22-2007 at 05:30 AM. |

man that is a long wheelbase. maybe you could find another place to store the batt or get a hump pack, so you can shorten the wb. but that may be the look your going for. i am tryin to get my hands on a e-maxx tranny right now. i like that have the extra high gear so i can slig some mud, if we could ever get some rain here in fl.
