Nice..... very nice. What else can I say. I really like the REVO links for the steering. Nice. I can't wait to see the skids. Dan. |

First, thanks much for the compliements! It's nice to get a bit of kudos after a ton of wrenching.. Not that the chassis setup isn't easy to work with I had built everthing once already based on the stock chassis! AND I had the diffs apart 3 times to do mods! Anyway, I just got the receiver in and drove it..... Obstacle Clearance: First: I gotta have bigger tires. I have like 1.5" of clearance at the axles. Crap. Second: I need to raise the suspension. The kit comes with these cool pieces to raise or lower the overall height, so I am gonna go back up, even though it looks more scale where it is. General Driving First: Where's the steering? At full lock, the best I can get is like a 10ft turning radius Second: Stability. I am DEFINITELY gonna have to soften things up. The thing bounces like a Radioshacker! LOL Power Torque: This thing has boat loads of torque! The Titan motor and super-low gear makes a ton of power. I could climb straight up a tree with a single crappy Dirt Hawg tire... Top Speed: Come on? top speed? There isn't any.... who needs it. Durability One pack and counting...... Thanks again. Any advice would be appreciated!!!!!! Freq |

i like it. I have one of these and have to say its a very nice chassis. very clean, well built, rear steer is a must. the thing i didnt like is the low clearence on the trans and the open gears. i had Mike Eckenrode make me a skid plate for the center, best thing ever. mashers are nice with that chassis. i hope you used CA on all the seams of the chassis so it wont split. have fun with it.

Thanks again for the compliments ALL!! The tranny is a Stampede. The PRP Chassis is set up to drop one right in. Very cool indeed! I would be interested to know if anyone knows where I can get: Some axle guards? Rock Rings? A Custom Tube Chassis? I'll pay $ for something nice... K-Roks? Or some other tall tire? I have another TLT axle set ready and waiting for something wilder. I want something nasty this time, less "kit" more custom... Also, I saw something on here about a cable driven locker? This might be a must-have if it could be servo operated. Lastly, has anyone tried using the Pro-Line Maxx Hubs and 1/8th scale buggy wheels with some sort of tire? It looks as if you could get a set to work???? Thanks, Keep building and crawling. Freq |

i have found the stock battery mount location a little high and too far back, have had really good luck with the battery mounted over the front axle. and for a skid plate if you can find some tin from k&s metals (.008 easy solder tin is what it's called) you can use a pair of good scissors to cut it out with the template from prp's site. ![]() ![]() |

You should move your lower links from the bottom of the axle. It will give you better clearance then when you can put your new tires on for some pretty good clearance.
