Default where does this go i dont know tlt drive ?s

so im in my first build and am a little stuck i have a rustler with an xl5 tranny and i noticed that the older stampedes looked a little smaller can i use the one i have. ? number 2 as you can see from my pics. my drive shat yokes do i need to replace them with the jato yokes to connect to the slider some pics of what it looks loike set up with would be really helpfull thanks

the XL5 and old pede use the same case, the only diff between them really is the slipper setup, I run a XL5 in my comp truck.... you dont really need to change out you're stock drive shafts and yokes, but you will eventually want metal outdrives

The stock tlt drive yoke can be modded to work, but it is much easier/better to use jato, pede or maxx shafts. You can either use setscrews in your yokes, or drill the pinion to accept the pin.

You'll need another set of pede/rustler yokes. They will have to modified a little to fit on the bevel gear shaft. Which gets you to the first step, remove the joint cup (brass cup that the dogbone used to sit into) from the bevel gear shaft of the axle. See how the bottom of the cup was flat (the side closest to the axle)? Modify the new yoke to look like that. That will allow them to sit on the bevel gear shaft better and give the grub screw more to bite into.

i went down to lhs and got some what i thought were jato yokes but were from th rustler i tell you what you let a kid drive an rc and he thinks hes a flippin god for those jato yokes will i have to bore out the hole on the inside of the yoke and the shaft that it slides onto does that need to be drilled out or no
