I buy a lot of bearings from AVID as well. Very good customer service and fast shipping as Badd has already said. They don't carry every size though. I am sure other web sites sell the flanged bearings for this mod, but 4CHobby has been the only place I have found to consistently have them in stock.

Yea I ordered some from 4CHobby, and after that I found AVID's website. Both carry the 3x6x2.5F bearing. Oh yea, yes stickers are cool!

So a reduction of material at that placement wouldn't really show negitive effects as it isn't stessed at that point, I think.
The c hubs job is to support the weight of the vehicle,or else it would be a full floater, like a real truck, the axels only job is to turn the wheel, not to hold the weight of the vehicle.

Full floater means the weight of the vehicle would be on the housing, not the shaft. The weight of rc vehicles rests on the axleshaft, and the job of the axleshaft is to carry the weight of the truck and turn the tires, if it was a full floater you could take the axle out with the tire still on, and drive the truck 3wd, you can't on these.

This little mod is so easy to do and eliminates the wear to any C everyone should do it. Someone should start producing their axle Cs with the bearing mods done from the very start
