I love it, so much smoother then my other set-up. It doesn't quite have the power I'm used to, but it's got better wheelspeed and throttle resolution.

Sweet thats always good to hear. I picked up a 50t "hard line" crawlmax from r2j. Is there a big difference in power or just a small one?

There is a difference, but it's not bad. The lathe motor hasn't left me stranded in any binds yet.

My CVD's are holding up fine. I check the pins every couple packs to make sure they aren't sliding out.

graphite can be found anywhere, a hardware store around the locks or lubricants.

You might have to change modes on the Quark. Have you tried 3% drag to see if it reduces?

If you don't find some I could probably hook you up at the comp. Teflon Dry lube also works good.

So if your going brushed, are you going to a mamba max? Just wondering about the drag brake strength. I know it's on the weak side as far as holding power with brushed motors.

Next year, all catch you in scores, next year...

The brushed motors should be fun on 3s lipo too. The drag brake difference is noticable though.

Run stiffer brush springs on your motor, or stiffen up the stock springs by winding them tighter, it'll make a huge difference in the amount of drag brake you can get with a Mamba Max and a brushed motor. ;)

I have found the drag brake with a brushed motor alot more to my likings the brushless motors have alot of holding power..im running 10% drag brake with the crawlmax and it is just right for me I my even set it down to 5%.I like for my rig to slow roll but not come to a full stop.anyway it has been to clod the last couple of day to crawl much so I have been working on a new link setup and massing with the brushed motors

I will soon be going back to brushless motors when i find a way to lessin the drag brake. lmk what you think

Run zero drag on the brushless, that would make just the magnetic cogging give you drag. I like a lot of drag on my super, but very little on my 2.2. Just enough to keep it from accelerating down a steep incline.
