I'm going to give cheapbatterypacks.com a call and see if I can bring the truck to them or take some pictures so it would help them out building them?

thanks again Jason for helping me, I see you Cobra is coming alone just fine

Found a shot of Jeremy's rig.

Six cells over the servo.

Slowcrawlin, that is in no way drawn to scale.

Hopefully someone can chime in and let you know how many will fit like that.
I will also give cheapbatterypacks.com a call and see if I can stop by there with the truck or maybe send a pic to them?

They are not to far from me

Why not print the picture and take the servo mount with servo installed.

They just weld the pack together...shouldn't take'm long.

I was wondering, did you put spacers inside the shocks?

A spacer placed on the shaft inside the shocks helps limit the amount of drop in each side of the axle at the wheels. I used about 3/8" of fuel tube in each. You will have to replace your oil also. If you decide to do it.:-P

Nice thread guys

I am looking at the Cobra as the base for my first crawler, first RC actually. The cobra setups I've seen so far have center mount motors with tranny. A quick question for any and all.

How easily can the Cobra be set up for motorized axles such as the Raptor or the forthcoming Raptor 2 from RC4WD?

A quick set of questions for the designers and makers.

How much different will the SuperClass Cobra chassis be than the 2.2?

Can a prospective buyer get the same paint scheme as shown on the Beckworks website? Extra cost? What is the lead time for this tuber?

Thanks in advance for those answers that make sense, and back to school for those that dont

thanks

Chris - Out

well today I plan on getting the pede tranny mounted and making some drive shafts.

Any tips on mounting the tranny, should I center it or move it forward?

I will be using a HH Crawlmaster

Well I got my pede tranny mounted. Studied me didnt drill the holes right the first time, so now I have 2 spare holes. :-(

I did mount it as far forward as I can and it will be clear of the links

after it is all finish I can get a new skid plate or cover it will a piece of aluminum?

Here's how I mounted my servo and batt from CBP.com. A couple pieces of aluminum bolted to the regular servo mount and there you go. It's a 1100mah 3cell lipo.
