OK today, I trimmed the tranny some more and installed the aluminum knuckles from run2jeepn.

I have to work all weekend, but Monday I go to cheapbatterypacks to get the batteries I ordered fit. I have to go to there shop cause they want to make sure it fits OK.

If I have a chance to do anything else to the Cobra I will post it

Just wanted to get some opinions on where I should mount my Mamba 25 and RX receiver.

I was thinking of putting them both on the rear axle?

they dont both weight that much but that is a good place if you have the wiring to make it fit

Stick them under the hood with some velcro or servo tape!

I hear ya, I've been really busy working also. I am working on it now trying to place the electronics where I think they should go.

I think for now I am going to use aluminum for my panels until I can find someone who can paint my lexan ones

I will post pics of it tomorrow

oh I just ordered those cool tire inserts, I'm getting the pink ones

well I got it mostly put together but I am having a problem with my servo not getting enough power?, its a JR 9000

I put the Hand Bro's aluminum servo plates on, aluminum servo horn, the Mamba 25 and receiver under the front panel and the 8 2/3 cell pack on the front axle

I also have to make the rear steer lockout but I have a temp one right now until I can figure out the servo thing

I still need to tinker with it a lot , and put the other panels on, but its getting there I'm sure I will change stuff but hey "its my first build"

and I know I could not do it with out all of you, thats for sure

Here are a few pics of how it is now and a pic of my sons new WK,

Is the JR 9000 an S or T. S is for speed and T is for torque. Either way check the end point settings on the servo. A JR 9000 T has enough power to break the steering arms, It should really turn that rig.

Here are few pic's with all the aluminum panels on.

I also put a RX pack on the rear axle so I can check everything out until I get my UBEC. I have a lot of tinkering to do

I'm also waiting on my tire inserts, which should be here any day.

here are some pics,

Looking good!!! I like the new battery pack. Yeah, I'm still waiting on the Kreepy inserts also. I am really looking forward to trying them on the Cobra prototype. Nice build.
