I was lookin through here and saw you were using fat rock c's with jp knuckles... did you have to mod anything to make them work together? I know the RCP knucles need to be modded to work with the Fat Rock c's...

Nice lookin rig btw

I never had to modify anything. If you want to get more steering you will need to do a little dremel work. I have this combo on all my rigs.

Thanks
Tom

I am running the gear that came with the R2. Its geared like a tank. I will probably gear it up 2-3 teeth.

18t is more betta

Extra wheelspeed will let the front tires eat a bit more when you use front burn

Slick little rig there. Have you thought about how your gonna do the dig set up?

I'll try 11 or 12 this weekend. I think it has 9 now.

As for the Dig. I am going to wait for the RC4WD R2 Dig setup.

Thanks for gearing help and the props.

I put a 12 tooth in. It worked a lot better. I finished 3rd in our little Comp today. It broke a lower front traxxas turnbuckle at the end of the thread on the 8th gate. It still finished thru to the the last gate without a lower link, or shock!!

I had to fix that, then went to check everything before the next course and stripped a Bevel Gear shaft. Not on the main gear part, but where the gear and shaft meet. Pretty cool. The Crawlmaster is a Horse!!:-P

Off to the Powdercoater late this week. Can't wait for the dig. I hope it works good!

I need to find a good place to mount a battery pack on this rig!
Anybody

Thanks
Tom

Every time I see another Hustler it just makes me think "why hassle with building a tube chassis when you can just buy one of these?" I'd probably spend close to the same in materials and tooling, and definitely the time it would take me to re-do the thing 12 times to make it work.

Nice build there Racer...
