I've been really busy and this project keeps bumping along and then gets pushed aside. I started this thing months ago and just haven't finsihed it. Figure if I posted some pics it might push me to complete it sometime.

Couple of chassis pics......mostly 3/16" stainless tube with some 1/8" solid rod.

This actually started life as a taller chassis but I cut the belly area off and redid it. Not meant to be a comp worthy rig.....I wanted something low and a two-seater style buggy.

What kind of torch did you use, and how did you clean it up? I normally blue stainless tubing a bit when brazing.

edit: just realized it looks painted.

I usually clamp a piece of scrap aluminum sheet to the chassis and lay the nut on that for brazing. The flanged nut work best against the curved tubing.

You got it.....is painted silver. I use a micro acetylene/oxygen torch.
