Default TLT Questions

I have been noticing that on alot of rebuilds that most people are usuing a pede tranny. What are the advantages of a pede tranny over a stealth or losi tranny.

On peds the motor mounts to the tranny case, and on stealths there is a motor mounting plate on the chassis that the tranny has to bolted next to. Once you figured out how you wanted to do that it would just as good in my opinion.

I am not familiar with the Losi

I would like to see some design a TLT/Steath tranny kit.

The pede tranny uses sliders to get the power to the wheels. This makes it easy to use in the TLT.

I have a stealth tranny in my tlt and it by itself is great, no hopups needed besides jbwelding the ball diff, BUT and this is a big But, without some serious mods, you have to use dogbones and they suck big hairy donkey balls.
I keep pulling my links out of the ballends cuz with any amount of articulation the dogbones like to walk themselves out of the drive cups.

here they sell TRX AE and HPI!

I would go the Bulu 2 if you need a chassis too! It uses a pede tranny, 4" shocks (most people use), and links that are 96mm-137mm!

thanks guys I was just curious. It seems like the associated or losi would hold up a bit better and they can be picked up for about $35. The outdrive would be would be another story but adaptable for slider shafts.
