I was thinking has anyone tried making a super based off of tlt axles? Like maybe get some big wheel wideners and other mods. I was watching a video my friend made and i mistaked soem clod axles for tlt and thought wow, thats cool, but he said they were clod. Anyone tried it?? -Stallion |

I would have to imagine that txt axles would be a better choice. For the price of making a super tlt the txt would be a much better choice. |

HOWEVER.... being that you can basically put together a TLT axle these days with only the centers of the plastic housing as the sole factory part, i say... MAYBE... but... it would be a really narrow super, and you may have issues with tire rub when you turn the wheels. only thing to do is try it... |

You could run All-t's with widners and a looong WB. Get some CVD's and SS R&P's from RCP.

hmmmm, i think this would be a nice experiment for RCP to try! test out all of their TLT stuff by building a super with it!! just think, it would be a really good promotional image if they could pull it off... |

Aluminum housings, RCP diffs, CVD's, aluminum knuckles, Maxx driveshafts, set of wideners.....Throw on a set of 2.2 Molanders or Jordans and run a 14"-15" WB and it just might work. |

There is nothing wrong with the idea, try it and see how competetive it is. It would be aloot easier to get through gates and your axles would get hung alot less even with smaller tires. It might be hard to get those axles to step ledges as well as a Clod. You would have to keep you COG ultra low, which might hurt your ground clearence and break over angle. But Droop suspension might help you there if you can tune out the torque twist. |

Someone has to try this, I got a build going already so moneys tight. Maybe if you got some of these portals and some aluminum wheel wideners, emaxx tranny for more power, custom lightwieght frame. aluminum axles, heavy duty links, beadlocks, all-t's, maybe lipo power? It would be expensive but so are clods. I think rcp or rc4wd should try this to advertise their products and to amuse us. if they won a super class event(like the Nats) with a tlt then just think, they might even start tlt production again. ..... |
