Those are capacitors, and they are to help keep your truck from glitching.

Tanis said it best, in a nut shell, they keep you from glitching...

Heres right from Novak:

Three 0.1µF (50V) capacitors must be properly installed on all motors!
Electric motors used for R/C generate radio noise that can interfere with your receiver and cause radio problems. Included in the accessory kit with the speed control are three 0.1µF (50V) non-polarized, ceramic capacitors. These capacitors must be installed on every motor to help reduce the noise generated by the motor and also to prevent possible damage to the speed control.
I found that in many threads here when people have glitching problems is because they dont have the caps on the motors...They put them in a box with the ESC for reason, they need to be on there

couple of pics from this weekends comp

I cant believe how awesome the losi tires worked, climbs where moabs and mashers were spinning to get up, these things just grabbed and went, no spinning. Truck ran great, I was in 2nd up until I had to leave to home early (2nd year anni with the GF). Only issue was a spektrum malfawktion apparently I have an older model and they like to glitch unless you send them in to get updated O and my NEW axials that have all of 2 runs on them now, spun a damn wheel hex so I ordered up some ericksons...solved that problem

Still diggin' this build. You ever solve the problem with your shocks being dead when upside down?
