Exclamation Whats the deal????

I have a tlt with 4 wheel steering and a TQ3 radio system (the one you can buy from tcscrawlers with the rear steer mod) The servos im running are two 645 mg hitec servos. when i approach an incline enough to were it is almost flexed all the way, the radio system "stalls" and i get no feedback or no control and the wheels just twitch back and forth, i have to pick it up and move it for it to go back to normal. Idk whats wrong with it ANY advice is always appreciated. Nate

Your 2 steering servos are pulling more power than the BEC in the ESC can handle and it is shutting down.

Yep, you're tripping the BEC. You can either get an ESC with a higher BEC (like a rooster crawler with it's 5A BEC) or you can get an external switching regulator and wire it in line.

What ESC are you running? You can also run a RX pack with it.

thanks for all your help i guess i should get a better esc since all im running now is one of those cheap 50 dollar duratrax ones. i think i will go with the TR2 seems like a good value but tcs says i would have to run a voltage regulator if you run ultra high torque servos. should i buy the regulator 2?

Ive heard alot of problems with the TR2. You would be better going with the new Novak Rooster. One of the guys I crawl with has one and its sick!! Very nice. You might need a regulator, you might not. Ive ran two Hitec 5995TG's w/ dual 55 turns on one Super Rooster with no problems. Did the same with a Mamba Max also.

Id go with the new Rooster if I was you. Price wise I beleive it is the same as the TR2.

One other thing to consider, is how many cells you run. The more cells(higher voltage) the less amps the BEC can put out.

deffinatly buy the regulator.I had the tr2 dont like, cant get the reverse delay out.So i just ran it backwards so i could have an instant reverse.Up in smoke it went.Find you a no delay reverse esc and run the reg and youll be good.No esc bec is goin to like to run the rear steer servoe, not very long anyway. This has been my experiance on the matter.

I just ran the Rooster Crawler in my Super at the comp yesterday. I was running a J9000T in front (200 in/oz) and a 645MG in the rear, off of the BEC. Not a single problem.

the rooster(crawler model) is awsome but if you dont want to dish out the money for a new speedcontrol the castle BEC is the way to go it cost only a little more than a good reciever pack and charger and you dont have to worry about charging an extra battery
