You just go ahead and ship that old j2-tt chassis right down to me since you are not going to be using it anymore. I agree, I have been lowering mine since I left Vegas. I like the new chassis, good luck with it. You gonna have enough testing to run it at nats?

Well time to bring back a dead thread. I drove this truck today and I'm no pro but I was crawling up places that I didn't think it could make. I've not been able to run anything except my Pajero for rock crawling and to jump to this comp chassis was like racing a Yugo against a Camero SS. You might get better gas milage but this chassis will be 7 gas stations ahead of you by the time you get to it. All I gotta say is that I hope I can get my chassis to be half as good as this set up. Thanks DF for letting me drain some cells!!!

Like crap. I am running the Traxxas 3760 long shocks. Kind of confusing because they are the short shock. I also limit my travel (under the piston inside the shocks) by another 3/8" fuel tubing spacer. My total throw for the shock is about 5/8-3/4" more than enough for this chassis to be effective. |

Rizzo is right, of course he did design the chassis. I run rmd" shocks with 3/8" of tubing internally to limit downtravel.

I am surprised to see you are still running the masher / moab hybrid tires. It's nice to a see a comp rig with something other losi rock claws. Nice rig and congrats on the consistent top 3 finishes. I need to get one of these chassis.

| Hmmm... very interesting. I really like both the mashers and moabs. I prefer the mashers, at least for the terrain we crawl here in East Texas. I am going to have to make a set. Have you found that the mashers work best inside or outside? I see you have them on the inside. Does it make any difference in your experience?

| Look at how mine run. This seems to be the most effective way I think.

There's 4 of us here locally running my hybrid tires and we all run them the way they are in rizzo's pic. I haven't found a setup that works better yet.

Have you guys ever thought about making them for a super? I am definitely going to make a 2.2 set. What brand CA glue do you use to hold the two tires half's together? Do you add any glue to the inside of the tire over the joint where the two tires meet? When I narrowed my mashers for my scaler, I used ZAP-A-GAP CA glue (A Main Hobbies) to hold the two tire half's together. Then I covered the inside of the tire with Shoo Goo over the joint. They seem flexible, but the scaler is still under construction so I don't know how well they will hold up. |

i use quik-bond 2 thick CA glue then shoe-goo on the inside. the ca glue mainly just holds them together during the manufacturing process. the shoegoo does all the work afterwards.
