Hey bud I dig your truck and just ordered myself a Max climber last week, Will you shoot me a list of part numbers of exactly what you used to stretch your truck, including links, sliders, how many everything to build my truck close to yours.
I know it is alot to ask, but if you got time.
thanks Wes

Hi Wes

I just lowered my truck A LOT.

works much better now that it is lowered. are you building a crawler? or a monster truck?

the pics of my truck above reflect mostly a monster truck, it sure did not crawl to good with it at that hieght but it worked well just bashing it around the yard.

I will post a neew pic of my lowered TLTwist in about an hour.

I will try and get some part numbers for you, I rather just give you descriptions and manufacturer for the parts I used as I am at work and did not keep a list of the actual part numbers.

Default TLTwist LOWERED

I think I may want to lower it even more than this. I need to drill different holes for the shocks to get a tad more flex outa it. about 70 degrees right now and still it works pretty well. I have never been to a comp yet so I have no idea how other crawlers behave.

one of the guys here at work says that the ideal shock angle is sraight up and down, what do you guys say about that?? for me to make that happen would require some really funcky looking shock mounts. I think we angle our shock s to compromise for the small chassis we use.

here are some pics

I really want to buy a BULU2 chassis but don't want to deal with any of you guys giving me a hard time by using it. I see a lot of people here flaming guys that are running the BULU and I don;t really have enough time to make my own chassis, plus the way I see it when you have a common design goal the chassis will most likely resemble a BULU2 anyway !!. what should I do here?

I've never seen any of that. The Bulu is an awesome chassis but they might be a little hard to get. Another option is the TSC10. Check out the vendor forum for details.

The truck looks a lot better now. All it needs is a bigger body.

you should get the stampede METAL yokes for the sliders my plastic ones don't hold on too well.

the REVO links RED I got 112mm they have 2 kinds you need to get the other kind. or you might be able to make the longer ones work?

honestly I just went into my Local hobby Shop. eyeballed the parts walls and just grabbed parts I thought I needed. I paid no attention to any part numbers.

you DO need a Stampede stanny to use the stampede sliders.

I have seen some stock trannies converted to use the sliders bu I don;t know how it's done.

those hitec servos work really well.

i would not get the ones on EBAY
1. don;t know how long they are.
2. after shipping your only saving around $4.00

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bi...p?&I=LXHFW0&P=Z
looks to be correct. they actually say 112mm on the actual rod but tower seems to measure them end to end.

I was thinking of getting the same set of red links for the bottom anyway. I was just concerned with scratching the red off on the rocks so I got the plain instead.

Hi Richard,

I just ordered the TSC chassis, should be here in about 2 weeks. I wanted to try them both. since I lowered my truck it works mucho better, had an issue with the plastic yokes slipping so I went with Traxxas Villain boat yokes .

I saw your truck up close and it's very nice !! .
