New knucles and cvd's wont do you much good with that servo/steering setup.;-)

rockwerks 09-06-2007 11:38 PM

get some smaller battery packs, the stick sub C pack like that is really messing with the balance of the BMV2 chassis. I run 2/3a 7 cell and it doew not touch the rods at all. What kind of wheel weight are you running?

whats wrong with his steering setup? Other than the servo saver and a weak servo?

Yea guys i still got a lot of stuff to do. Ill look into a new battery pack, and no wheel weight until i get the new tires and wheels.

Looks like a good start.

I am working on a BMV2 as well....

west virginia krawler 09-07-2007 06:49 PM

Went wheeling. Me and my step dad had a little comp at a new place we found. This place has got everything! Isn't really shown in pictures but its awesome. It took some nasty falls and only broke a body mount. I definately need a new servo and some tires, although these tires really did good. The pictures are not that good but just some action for ya. And some stupid little video's of just screwing around.

Got everything nice and organized, and i stole the receiver and controller off my t-maxx, so i can have control for a rear dig. O and heres a wedge for the rear axle that Rxcrawler made. Hopefully Monday i can order some knuckles, cvd's, and tires. Heres a few pictures.

Updates!!!
Well i got my Losi rockclaws and there SWEET! I love them, and i painted some wheels for them, i put like 100 coats of clear coat on them. I also made a rear disconnect. I had a dig setup but i liked the rear disconnect better. I can just hook the rear tires when i want it to turn real good, but the big thing for me is it climbs awesome! And i made a course and used it just 4wd and then rear disconnect and i did a lot better with rear disc. I also got a better servo, i stole it off my t-maxx. But when i was crawlin around my fish pond it rolled into it and fried the esc. So i got to get a new one. I don't want to spend that much, so what do you guys recommend? Thanks and heres some pictures!

Looks good, you need to do something with your wiring and get a battery pack that isn't on the wire. You need to lose that servo saver and learn to control the steering when its in a bind.Did you but any weight on,in those tires and wheel?

Thanks, I will re-wire it when i get a new speed control. And I'm going to stop by my lhs sometime soon and get a new servo horn. The one thats on it is just temporary. And no wheel weights in it yet, but i need to look into them. Thanks for the help!

Well i figured that a cheep esc would be a crappy esc. So i decided to put down more money than i wanted and got a Novak Rooster Crawler system. And there water resistant. Has anyone had any problem with them?
Thanks!
Nathan

I traded someone a frame for this. You just need to keep an eye out, it took me a while to find it. Just keep looking

I believe they are sold out everywhere, but good news is that the BMV3 will be making its debut fairly soon. its in testing and should start production soon!

u should put the drag link for the steering on top of the kuckles then have a small spacer then the link from that to the servo horn
and screw into the middle hole
for more torque

also upgrade to some better ball ends
the traxxas ones are fine

you just want something with very little play in them

it looks like you havent shaved the bottom lip under the axles that will help a bit

widners?
i run the tg 10 ones with a small spacer to take up the play and it only widens it 1/2inch

just a bit but it helps in off camber situations
