| Battery On top of the servo??????
Hey I was playing with my crawler this morning and was wanting my front tires to grab and dig a little better. I am running the Bender Customs SW2 Chassis with the supplied links and servo plates and was wondering how to mount the battery ontop of the servo to get more traction??? Its just a regular 7.2 6Cell flat pack. Thanks guys KeEp On CrAwLiN |

I'll be the first to say it... SEARCH! but since I was new once, here's a pic of how I currently have mine... I just used velcro on top of the servo to hold the battery down, then let it rest on my upper links, so far I haven't had any problems |

how do you not have any problems... doesnt the battery limit the articulation since the uppers cant rotate? that was the case on my xrc... |

| I agree! This is why I'm switching to custom 2/3A packs. regular sub-c packs are too big to be mounted on top of the servos and li-po are too much $$

the front actually articulates just as good if not better than the rear... I'm not sure what the deal is... |

| I agree. With the battery weight on top of the front axle, it forces the suspension to articulate in order to get over / or around an obstacle. The only way that a stick pack might limit articulation in a SW2 is if the battery comes in contact with the upper brace that runs side to side to strengthen the chassis. With next to no weight on the rear axle, the front is almost dragging it along. I finally added some weight to the rear axle housing and noticed quite a difference. It articulates better and straddles more what ever object it is climbing.

I actually got to lookin a little while ago... my battery rides on top of the bolts for the links... there's just enough bolt to keep it off my links, and still sit low. I've seen people Zip Tie their battery to their upper links, so it can't hurt artic. too bad...
